Your connection Leadership

Connection Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

Mark Amerman

Senior Pastor

YOUR NEW ADVENTURE WITH GOD STARTS NOW!

Simply put; “the loyalty we give to Christ, is the same loyalty you’ll get from us."

"I don't consider leadership a chore, nor do I consider it a job in Jesus’s Church.”

As God's people gather, it is a privilege to be called to work with the Master on His projects and plans. We lead without "opinion." We lead and agree to whatever God's Words express. We do not put our conficence in what we think, have been told, or what satisfies human logic. Life isn’t a game of “hide and seek.” God does not hide life's answers from us or expect that we should endlessly search for them.

Life is an adventure.

In this adventure, God is not hiding the good life or the amazing future He’s planned for us, from us. People just don’t know it. My focus is to ensure that at Connection Church, that after a message, that people scatter back into the world knowing and understanding God's Words in a way that helps life flourish.

It’s a matter of knowing and living the "already blessed plan" God designed for us, instead of continually asking Him to bless "a human plan," we’ve devised.

Connecting and reconnecting people to God.

I am here to help connect and re-connect people to God. We share the "Biblical Hope" at Connection Church that those unsaved as well as those who are saved (but got lost along the way) need to secure a strong relationship with Jesus. As Senior Pastor, I have earned a lot of academic degrees, Ph.D., Ed.D., MS., with certificates. I continue to serve as a Graduate Professor for several Christian Universities. Learning has purpose. It increases our knowledge base to be in a better position to help people overcome human and spiritual life issues. My degrees were not earned for personal acknowlegement, but rather to serve as, "just a guy who shows up when Jesus asks."  Continued learning, is a Jesus' thought. If we don't understand how things work on Earth, we won't understand how things work in Heaven.

It is not in me to compromise.

I am convinced that this fallen world causes many churches and their leadership to compromise God’s Words. They agree to do so as not to offend the current deviant cultural standards. Sadly, they have no confidence in, that when truth is sown, "that it is the sin that is offended," not the person. Without Scripture taught as God intended, the power within is sufficated and God's breath is stifled to drive sin out. Compromise results in failing to help a person restore their relationship with God. Compromise won't break sin's chains, or free people for Christ Jesus.

It is not in us to compromise or withdraw from God's Truths. It is not in us to withdraw from seeing God's potential in anyone or helping them attain it.

Hope.

I will sow God's Words regardless of the condition of someone's life. There is no judgement. We sow with the "Hope" that God's Words will find a suitable place to germinate in their heart and cause a repentant change. The team at Connection Church, confidently stands with me as we trust the power infused in God's Words.

I'd rather be your friend.

If it is important to you to attend a church where leadership is well educated, has decades of advicacy for Christ Jesus, then yes, I can be your knowledgable Doctor and Pastor. But truthfully, "I'd rather we become friends. I'd consider it an honor to help you draw out your potential, and find where God wants you next." Jesus thought that was a good way to proceed. He said, today I call you my friends. All that I have been blessed to learn, teach, and apply in life, is for anyone God sends our way. I am willing to be accountable to serve you and your family. The Connection Church team is willing to be loyal to care - and show it.

Much like God's plans, I won't play hide and seek with you. I faithfully show up for each service, and you'll find me as, "just the guy who waits by the door, looking for that new face, that new soul, needing to be shown hope, fixed-up, and loved beyond human standards."  Of course, I also can't wait to see those who attend regularly. They are my friends. They are part of my spiritual family.

ACTUALLY, THAT'S HOW OUR ADVENTURE TOGETHER BEGINS.
